During my last week 5th Grade my Mom had received a call that my father passed away from AML, a rare adult strain of Leukemia. Only being 11 years old at the time I didn’t know what to do, or how to react. However, I always knew I wanted to do something for him one day. The Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign has given me the opportunity to do something for my dad and make a true difference within the blood cancer community. I plan on raising as much money as possible in hopes of reaching $50k in order to link my father's name to a research grant. I am extremely grateful for this chance to make my mark and am excited to begin this journey!
